Nestled in the woodland heart of Nova Scotia, on the shores of clean, clear and warm Sherbrooke Lake, our camping centre offers a scenic and relaxing venue for your next weekend retreat, team building program, family gathering or wedding.

Sherbrooke Lake camp offers acres of beautiful backcountry with trails, forests, wetlands, and a kilometre of private, sandy waterfront. Our facility rentals offer the opportunity for your group to explore the natural world and learn about the environment.

Sherbrooke Lake Camp (SLC) offers a variety of rental opportunities for the church and community.

 

Rent our Camp for:

- Team building & leadership programs
- Environmental conferences
- Meetings & workshops
- Weekend retreats
- Weddings and family reunions

- United Church Functions (exempt from Insurance Requirements)

All that is included in your rental: 

​

• 9 stand-alone cabins that each sleep 10 people maximum, no power or water access. For every 2 cabins there is 1 local latrine/outhouse for use. 

• The Eldon Wynn Lodge

  • A main lodge with 5 available rooms that each have a minimum of 2 beds. This building has power access. 

• The Cooks Nook

  • A stand-alone cabin that has 2 rooms and 2 beds. This building has power access.

• The Arthur Harvie Lodge

  • A lodge and kitchen for meal preparation and delivery. Plates, bowls, utensils and cooking supplies on site.

  • This building has a wood stove for heat and is the centre of our camp

  • The water in this building is tested per provincial requirements and is drinkable! 

• The Arlie Wynn Recreation Centre

  • A large open recreation space with power and lights.​

• A kilometre long sandy beach, a beautiful forest, a small trail system and gentle wildlife. Our water is also tested during our summer season for the safety of all!

• Although there is no wifi and poor cell service, the connection to nature is strong. There is a landline available for use with approval.

• **Please note that not all facilities may be available depending on the date of the event and other factors - this would be confirmed in individual contracts. **

 

For all rentals:

 

• Sherbrooke Lake Camp is not able to provide catering for rental groups

• Rental groups must provide a certificate of third-party liability insurance naming Sherbrooke Lake Camp as additional insured on a comprehensive general liability policy for the duration of the stay for a minimum amount of $5 Million.

• Rentals serving and/or providing alcohol must have a license and follow all standards as Provincially enforced and outlined in our Policy Group 8.

• Rental Groups must supply their own First Aid personnel, First Aid Supplies and Lifeguards as applicable. Sherbrooke Lake Camp does have an AED on site for emergency use.​

• Rental groups must provide their own toiletries and supplies

• Rental groups may book 2 years in advance of their dates, contracts annually will be distributed in January of the rental year. 

• Rentals in June & September will incur a $50 Garbage Fee; all refundables must be removed from site
